1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, such as your name, email address, shipping and billing details, account credentials, order history, subscription preferences, customer support messages, product feedback, referral or promotional activity, uploaded photos, skin analysis results, stated skin concerns, and skincare preferences.

We may collect information automatically when you use our services, including device identifiers, browser type, IP address, pages viewed, referring pages, approximate location, cookie identifiers, and usage events.

We may receive information from service providers and third parties, such as payment processors, shipping providers, analytics providers, fraud prevention tools, and authentication providers.

2. Photos, Skin Analysis, and Sensitive Information

If you upload a photo, we use it to generate cosmetic skincare analysis, product recommendations, and related service features. Our analysis is designed for cosmetic guidance only and is not a medical diagnosis, treatment plan, or substitute for advice from a licensed healthcare professional. We ask for your consent before you upload a photo for skin analysis.

Uploaded photos are used only to generate your analysis and are automatically and permanently deleted from our storage within 24 hours of upload.

From your photo, our systems generate cosmetic skin assessments (such as observations and scores for wrinkles, blemishes, pores, texture, redness, and tone), objective image measurements, and derived skin attributes, including estimated skin type (for example, oily or dry), apparent skin tone category, apparent sensitivity level, and appearance-based estimated age and gender. These are inferences used to personalize your analysis and recommendations, are stored with your account, and can be deleted at your request. Skin tone category is used only to tailor cosmetic guidance and is never used to make decisions about pricing, eligibility, or access to the Services.

Please do not submit medical records, prescription information, genetic information, emergency information, or other health information that is not requested by the service. If you choose to provide health-related, skin-related, or other sensitive information, you consent to our processing of that information for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy and in our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy.

Nuvée is not a healthcare provider, health plan, or healthcare clearinghouse, and the Services are not intended to create a provider-patient relationship. Information you provide to Nuvée may not be protected by healthcare-specific privacy laws such as HIPAA, though we still handle personal information as described in this Privacy Policy.

3. Biometric Information

Nuvée does not use facial recognition and does not create, collect, or retain biometric identifiers or biometric templates capable of identifying you. The face-mapping overlay that helps you align your selfie during capture processes facial geometry entirely on your device; that data is never transmitted to or stored on our servers and is discarded when the capture session ends.

We do not sell, lease, trade, or otherwise profit from biometric identifiers or biometric information. For retention details, see our Data Retention & Deletion Policy, available in the site footer.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide and personalize the services, verify accounts, analyze uploaded photos, generate cosmetic skincare recommendations, fulfill orders, manage subscriptions, process payments, ship products, administer rewards and promotions, provide customer support, communicate with you, improve our products and services, conduct analytics, prevent fraud, secure our systems, and comply with legal obligations.

We may use aggregated or de-identified information for research, product development, analytics, and business reporting. We do not attempt to re-identify de-identified information except as permitted by law.

5. Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising

We use cookies, pixels, local storage, and similar technologies to operate the website, keep you signed in, remember preferences, measure performance, understand how users interact with our services, and improve marketing.

If you grant marketing consent, we use the Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API and the TikTok Pixel and TikTok Events API to measure website visits and commerce interactions—including product views, cart additions, checkout starts, and purchases—attributable to our advertising. Meta may receive browser and ad-click identifiers, the page where a commerce event occurred, order value and currency, IP address and browser user agent, a pseudonymous account identifier, and normalized contact and shipping details (such as email, phone number, name, city, state, postal code, and country) that are cryptographically hashed before transmission for event matching. TikTok may receive its browser and ad-click identifiers, the commerce page, order value and currency, IP address and browser user agent, and normalized email and phone number that are cryptographically hashed before transmission for event matching. Hashing does not make this information anonymous. We do not send either platform uploaded photos, skin analysis results, stated skin concerns, payment card details, or activity from health-results or account pages.

Some third-party analytics or advertising tools may collect information across websites or apps. Depending on your location, this may be considered a sale, sharing, or targeted advertising under applicable privacy laws. You can manage browser cookie settings and use any privacy choices we make available on the site.

6. Sharing of Information

We do not sell personal information for money. We may share information with service providers and vendors that help us operate the services, including hosting, cloud storage, AI analysis, payment processing, fraud prevention, analytics, email delivery, order fulfillment, shipping, customer support, tax and accounting, and professional services.

We require service providers to use personal information only as needed to provide services to us or as otherwise permitted by law. However, third-party services may process information under their own policies when you interact with them directly.

We may share information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, to enforce our terms, in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, or with your direction or consent.

7. Payments

Payments are processed by third-party payment providers. We do not store full payment card numbers on our own servers. Payment providers may collect and process payment information according to their own privacy policies and security practices.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the services, maintain your account, fulfill orders, manage subscriptions, comply with legal and tax obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and maintain security.

Uploaded photos are automatically deleted within 24 hours of upload. Skin analysis results and recommendations are retained with your account so you can review your history, until you request their deletion by emailing contact@nuveeskinlab.com. If you request deletion, we may retain limited information where necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, transaction records, backups, or other purposes permitted by law.

9. Data Security

We use reasonable technical, administrative, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Your Privacy Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, or withdrawal of consent for certain processing. You may also have the right to opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or certain profiling where applicable.

To exercise privacy rights, contact us at contact@nuveeskinlab.com. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request, and authorized agents may need to provide proof of authorization where required.

You may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in those emails or by using available preference tools. Even if you opt out of marketing, we may still send service-related messages, such as account, order, subscription, security, and support communications.

Browser settings, cookie controls, and global privacy controls may affect certain tracking technologies. We will honor legally required opt-out signals where required and technically feasible.

11. California and U.S. State Privacy Notices

Residents of California and certain other U.S. states may have additional rights under state privacy laws. The categories of personal information we may collect include identifiers, commercial information, internet or device activity, approximate geolocation, sensory information such as uploaded images, inferences, and information that may be considered sensitive under applicable law.

We use and disclose these categories for the business and commercial purposes described in this Privacy Policy. We do not knowingly sell or share personal information of children under 16.

Where applicable, you may have the right to know, access, correct, delete, obtain a copy of, opt out of sale or sharing, limit certain uses of sensitive personal information, and be free from unlawful discrimination for exercising privacy rights.

12. Children's Privacy

Our services are not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Users under the age of majority in their place of residence should use the services only with involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian.

13. Account, Email, and Communications Choices

You can update certain account information through your account pages. You can manage certain email preferences through the email preference tools we provide or by contacting us.

If you close your account or request deletion, some information may remain in transaction records, backups, fraud-prevention logs, legal records, or other systems where retention is permitted or required.

14. International Transfers

Nuvée is based in the United States. If you access the services from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States or other countries that may not provide the same level of data protection as your jurisdiction.

15. Third-Party Links

Our services may link to third-party websites, platforms, or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content, or security of third parties. Review their privacy policies before providing information to them.

16. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Your continued use of the services after an update means you acknowledge the updated policy.
